Snorkel Coiba is a local tour operator in Santa Catalina, Veraguas, Panama. We are responsible for the information you send us through this website, WhatsApp, phone or email. Questions about your data: info@snorkelcoiba.com or WhatsApp +507 6662-1233.
Only what you choose to send us when you ask about or book a tour: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, the tour date, the number of adults and children, the extras you pick, where you’re staying, shoe sizes for the fins, how you found us and any notes you add. We use it to check availability, reply with your total, confirm your booking and organize the day, for example the passenger list for the boat. On tour day, Coiba National Park registration requires each passenger’s age and passport or ID number, which we hand to the park for that registration, and we ask about food allergies or restrictions for lunch; we use these details only for the registration and to look after you on the tour. We do not sell or rent your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Our booking form and the short form shown before WhatsApp send a copy of your details to our team by email from this website’s server (and, if we enable it, to our private booking spreadsheet on Google Sheets), then open WhatsApp with your message ready to send. Requests for tours within the next month go to our team in Santa Catalina (+507 6888-7940); bookings more than a month ahead go to our bookings WhatsApp (+507 6662-1233). WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its own terms and privacy policy apply to messages in that app. Payments go through PayPal, Wise, Yappy or by card: your payment details are handled by those providers and we only receive the payment confirmation.
This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels. It keeps a few small settings in your own browser (localStorage and sessionStorage), which are never sent to us: your language choice; a draft of the availability form if you start it without sending it, so you don’t lose what you typed (it is deleted automatically after 7 days); whether you closed the whale-season banner during your visit; and how you reached our site (for example a link from a partner hotel or from our Instagram), kept for 60 days so we know who recommended us. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Fonts and photos are served from our own server, and Google Maps only loads if you tap a map.
We keep your messages and booking details only as long as we need them to organize your tour and answer any follow-up, and longer only when accounting rules require it for a payment.
Under Panama’s personal data protection law (Law 81 of 2019) you can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to info@snorkelcoiba.com or on WhatsApp. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights set out in the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion and objection, and you can contact your local data protection authority.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
